11 minutes may be a little long :)

CX
Ryan: Stand up and look at the judge!
I'm concerned you're not seeing the forest through the trees. What are your goals in this cx? Do the cx planning activity (1. pick 2 likely 2nrs 2. decide what the central nexus issue will be 3. think of 2 concessions it might be helpful for them to make in the 1AC 4. ask questions that make it seem strategic for them to give those answers - the "pit of doom")

Jesse:
If you don't have ev, you don't need to be worried about external questions. You can say heg is obviously high and you'll read cards on it later if need be.

1NC Sullivan
when you lablel your 1nc positions try making the labels more meaningful. so not "k" but "security"; not "t" but "t substantially"; not "CP" but "condition cp"
it'd be better if your 1nc positions didn't have the same impact (taliban/terrorism)
work on your tags. "turn heg spurs terrorist backlash" would be better as "turn terrorist backlash - resentment" bc it gets a warrant out, too. saying heg a lot means that you don't frontload for ease of flowing, either :(

2ac jorge
good job on case but few things
1. extend by arg and then cite, not reverse
2. divide up your arguments by hard numbering on the case
i appreciate yoru strat of winning heg, but i think you read too many cards on this debate.
you should also put more pressure on the Cp; try to change your tag to resolve the issues like we've been doing in lab.
number 2ac args on off case, its hard to tell the spearation sometimes
you also need to pause between sheets ofpaper to allow for the shift of flows

Jesuit - I'm glad y'all took prep before the cx. Given the large 2ac, it was smart to discuss your block strat/ cx strat.

2nc ryan
be careful when you kick out of the K - its better to extend specific args.
you did a good job on incoporating arg resolution to your args!
make sure your tags are short and more flowable (some of your case tags were like 2 sentences)
on heg uniqueness - try extending warrants with strcuture and reading additional cards on it (so russia military and hcina military)
avoid the "karinzky doesn'thave warrants" and instead make your arg and say their ev doesn't answer it.
avoid "their ev that heg contaisn prolif doesn't answer our weber ev" instead " heg doesn't contain prolif because 1.2.3. " and then indite weber

I think you should redo this 2NC on heg. Write some blocks and give it tonite to someone on dorm duty. ask me for how the blocks should be structured post debate

1nr sullivan
smart concession on CMR. you do a great job impacting it and answering the possible 1ar applications. excellent!
some of your karzai cards have the same issues mentioned int he 2nc (probs bc y'all haven't had much time to fix up the tags/ev. just watch for it as you can)
you need more explanation on ow the SQ is sustainable if you want to win the case turn part of the DA - it is insufficient to just extend 1nc uniqueness ev.

jesse 1ar
few things to work on for redo
1. your heg explanations. I don't understand your explanation of how you get out of things if heg isunsustainable.
2. I think you should read more ev on heg high only political will. if you win that, i think you win most of these issues
3. you need a more consolidated/pervasive explanaiton of heg solving each of their impacts
4. fluidity. i'm unsure if some of this is the tech move or first aff round type stuff, but either way, let's see if we can remove the awkward pauses during the redo.

You do a good job impacting args and resolving a few - it'd be great to improve that area as well, but let's focus on the first 4 for this redo.

2nr ryan
redo as per discussion.

2ar Jorge
great job talking about whyt he sq is unsustainable and framing/resolving issues in your favor.
